Pillows of Rock: Some Guys Just Taking a Hiding

Here’s just a video of some absolute nutters in a uncrowded surf spot in Hawaii.

By the looks of things there are some guys taking some absolute hidings just paddling out, however those guys seem to be reaping the rewards.

Its now the Hawaiian winter, which in turn means their winter swells. Ours winter swells, which are undoubtedly much tamer than what you are about to see, come hand in hand with the cold weather fronts.

Some of these known names such as: Greg Long, Shane Dorian and Mark Healy appear to be wearing shorties with their impact vests (another item we won’t be needing in these waters).  In the UK you’d be mad to go out with anything lighter that  4/3mm wetsuit. So don’t forget to check in and grab some winter gear such as:
