As you know four of Triocean Surf’s team riders: Ben Howey, Noah Capps, Joe & Ellen Harding made their way west into the “dark side” earlier in the week to compete in the Newquay Board Maters.
All four competitors left with high hopes, as all have made a few podium finishes in previous BSA (British Surfing Association) events.
We saw a strong start fro our youngest team rider Noah Capps, who finished 2nd in the Whipper Snappers (U12) competition.
Unfortunately Joe Harding who has seen some extremely strong finishes last year in the U16 & U18 competitions was knocked out of the From Masters with a 3.57 overall score.
Ellen had a great start winning her round 2 heat with a score of 13.87, the second highest score of round 2. She then made it through to the Semi Finals winning heat 3 with an 11.00 score. Unfortunately she only managed a total score of 8.33 in the semi finals, finish in 3rd place, and now out of the competition.
Now we wait for the Mens Longboard results to see Ben Howey does. See the Newquay Board Masters highlights below……
