Initially the event was designed for rowers in the Dartmouth/ Totnes area, however due to the increasing popularity of Stand Up Paddleboaring (SUP), the event was spread out over two days; rowers competed the Saturday and SUP held their event on the Sunday. Since the SUP introduction in 2015, and the boom in popularity, the event has since seen a massive growth in competitors. Both recreational paddler’s and the serious contenders.
In the past this has been a thoroughly enjoyable event as well as a sense of achievement for the more leisurely paddlers, and well worth participating in.

The confirmed date for The Head of The Dart 2017, is Sunday 2nd April.
Entries will close at 18:00 on Wednesday 29th March. No entries on the day!
