Bigbury Bay

Bigbury Bay, or Bigbury Beach, in South Devon is ideal for family holidays as well as water sports enthusiasts. It is a gradually sloping sand beach with plenty of rock pools and therefor offers safe and fun entertainment. Bigbury Bay has a wide and varied selection of water sports available to visitors, including surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking and wind-surfing. It is a dog friends beach, however there are some restrictions in summer.

Bigbury Bay is also in close proximity to Burgh Islands, Bigbury’s most famous land mark. The island is accessible at low tide, when the tide reveals the causeway. However, when the tide is in you still get to the island as there is a sea tractor which you can take for a small fee. On Burgh Island you will find the award-winning hotel, the Pilchard Inn and many historic features.
