R.I.P. Sion Milosky – A late afternoon surf on Wednesday, 16th March claims the life of Hawaiian big wave surfer Sion Milosky. On a sloppy 20-30ft face wave where surfer was thought to have drowned after a two wave hold down.
After catching a few rides Sion fell off the lip during low tide, with an around 15 foot depth. Fellow surfer Nathan Flether tried to look for his body on a jet ski 20 minutes after the accident, with no avail.
Previous to the incident, Sion surfed the biggest wave ever paddled into, in Himalayas, Oahu, Hawaii.

On top of that he was also named North Shore Underground Surfer of the Year.
He leaves behind his wife and two daughters. The paddle out was organised for Sunday 27th March in Kauai, Hawaii and in Maverick’s to honour the surfer.
