January 18 2012 Categories: Tips and Tricks

You may remember a post on an “Ode To Shaping – Fluid Juice Surfboards” showing you the different stages of board shaping.

In this blog post we aim to show you the preceding stage of surfboard construction. The video on our Facebook page shows you how surfboard blanks are made.

A surfboard blank is the polyurethane foam core composition of a surfboard. Before surfboards are painted and glassed, they are first shaped to to the requirements of the surfer or shaper.

However before that the actual blank has to be put together,  check the video on our Facebook and Twitter page.

If you are interested in shaping, we offer the everything you need to get started, just check out our surfboard blank page. From there you can get your cloth and plugs; we also sell resin.
