Beau Young 9’1″ Kiora Performance Longboard
Originating from Grafton, New South Wales, and being the son of surfing legend Nat Young, Beau was always going to have surfing in his blood. In 2000 and 2003 he was crowned ASP Longboard World Champion, so it’s safe to say he knows his way round a log. In February 2019 he came over to the UK, where we managed to snag a few boards, shaped exclusively for us by Beau Young, and finished by our very own home grown Luke Young.

9’1″ Kiora Longboard
There is something about guiding this 9’1″ longboard through an extented arc that feels amazing. Throw some side-fins, give it some hard edge through the tail for bite and a subtle amount of curve through the entire board, and you have a completely different surfing experience.”Kiora” was the name of the board rode to win Beau Young’s second world title in New Zealand.
People are realising that the possibilities of a modern longboard are huge. This three fin longboard will undoubtedly turn amazingly well in the pocket, and cutback into the main power part of the wave on a knife edge. It is also a common misconception that only the single fin log can noseride well. This is definitely not the case. With the three fins and a sharp edge through the tail you will hold and trim through many a steep section while riding the nose. ‘Kiora” means hello in Maori. If you have not experienced a light three fin longboard for all the things it offers, well “Kiora”, this board is amazing!
