Children’s animal wetsuits are a new product for 2014 from Saltskin wetsuits. The new and fun approach to wetsuits for children means the kids love wearing them and the adults love spotting them; picking your child out on the shoreline is no longer a difficult task!
The 3/2mm wetsuits are built with a flexible and durable neoprene and flat locked stitching which in turn means these summer wetsuits are comfy to wear and long-lasting too.
Tigers, giraffes, cows and ladybirds – there’s a Saltskin animal wetsuit for every child.
Ever tried wrestling your impatient child into a wetsuit? Ever wondered which black wetsuited figure in the surf is one of yours?
These were just a couple of questions that inspired husband and wife team Nick and Cheryl Toolan to create new British, animal print wetsuit brand Saltskin.
"We wanted to produce a high quality product that would inspire kids to get outside and enjoy their time in the water. The addition of our registered designs takes suits to another level and adds the key ingredient of FUN!" says Nick.
The wetsuit fit and comfort was another element that Saltskin have factored in when designing the animal print wetsuits. These childrens wetsuits are constructed from a highly flexible 3mm neoprene, resulting in a snug fit without the loss of much flexibility. Comfort and warmth was another essential factor in their wetsuit design, which gives your child the ability to have more fun in the water for longer.
As surfers, water-skiers, sailors and triathletes, the team at Saltskin had bought their fair share of plain black wetsuits for their own children over the years, and could see the attraction of a wetsuit that would appeal to kids because of its cool design. Parents love the fact that Saltskin wetsuits make their children easy to spot on the beach as well as keeping them warn in and out of the water whilst protecting them from the suns UV rays.
The fact that you can see your children from far is an aspect that lots of parents from Surf Life Saving Clubs have really picked up on. This is backed up by Liam Krige, Bantham Surf Lifesaving Clubs Captain and a professional lifeguard with over 14 years experience who says:
"When it comes to a child’s safety, these wetsuits not only aid in keeping children warm and protected by the suns UV rays, but also ensure that children are a lot more visible, both to parents and lifeguards. Beach safety is paramount when visiting any coastal location, and what better way to promote it that through a fun and gregarious wetsuit design."
At Triocean Surf, in the South Hams Business Park, Chruchstow, we see a lot of parents and grandparents struggling to get their children, or grand children into wetsuits. That was until we brought in the Saltskin animal suits. These wetsuits have seen an extremely positive response from both the adults and children. Kids are now demanding to try on the wetsuits, as they can now emulate their favourite animals on the beach.
