Bank Holiday – Sea’s Flat, Here’s Some Other Options
I’ll be honest I’ve been enjoying all this great weather in the South Hams, its nice to get a sunny Easter Bank Holiday.
Although the surf has been virtually flat, there are other options you can do to make full use of the great weather and the seaside.
Stand-Up Paddleboarding
All beaches around the South Coast will be flat, possibly until Wednesday now, however if you would still like to make full use of the calm conditions and beautiful sunshine Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP/ SUPing) is a great alternative.
Physically it is great exercise working your whole body:
We are also blessed by having such beautiful coastline which is best explored on an SUP.
Best options for a weekend of SUPing:
Our range of 7 hire paddle boards consist of:
2x 12’0″ Big Easy Slick (12’0″ Big Easy), 2x 11’2″ Blend Slick (11’2″ Blend) , 2x 10’0″ Whopper Slick (10’0″ Whopper), 1x 10’6″ Foam Deck. See our hire rates here….
Our range of new SUP’s are very extensive , see here….
Kayaking
Similar to SUPing except you’re sat in a sit on top kayak. Great work out for you core, arms and shoulders, and another relaxing way to see the South Hams beautiful coastline and estuaries.
Same tides and routes will apply to kayaking as to SUPing.

Skimboarding
A higher octane activity, very popular with the kids, however it is still enjoyed by adults alike.
Skim at speed, carving and chucking spray, skidding and carving in the shallows.
We have just received our new range of Circle One performance skimboards.
The Pub
An inevitable destination on a sunny day, even better after an afternoon of activities. A favourite destination being The Crabshell Inn, sitting on the Kingsbridge Estuary.
